Description

1) The great leap forward poured down upon us one day like a mighty storm, suddenly and furiously blinding our senses.

2) Alone and unaware, The landscape was transformed in front of our eyes

3) Like the howling glory of the darkest winds, this voice was thunderous and the words holy, tangling their way around our hearts and clutching our innocent awe.

4) Buildings began to stretch wide across the sky, and the air filled with a reddish glow

5) Our happiest days slowly began to turn into dust

6) Finally, as that blazing sun shone down upon us, did we know that true enemy was the voice of blind idolatry; and only then did we begin to think for ourselves.

7) The sixth extinction crept up slowly, like the sunlight through the shutters.

The setlist:-

Good overall sound to this recording. The setlist is the same as the website released live album, which is well worth getting. No two Red Sparowes gigs are exactly the same, so this is well worth grabbing. Many thanks to the taper and CAvis for going to the trouble of getting this out to a wider audience.

Notes

Taped without roll-off via line-in [SP mode]. No EQ has been done to this, used a compressor [C1, linear] to even out the levels (0.3 difference between l/r channels) and for amplification (~ +5db). Fades-in/-out at the beginning/end.
Minor problem with the left channel from 28:05-30:07; during this part the right channel was copied onto the left so this part is basically mono - did my best to 'hide' this, most likely only noticeable when listening with headphones if at all.

Special thanks to CAvis for helping me with the tracking of this show, let's hope we got it right.
