A letter from Elizur Wright Jr.is on the blank pages of a printed resolution and circular letter of the American Anti-Slavery Society
A Printed resolutions extracted from the minutes of the annual meeting of the American Anti-Slavery Society, dated May 28, 1834 states that the Society recommends that all its auxiliaries hold public meetings on each July 4th, that this resolution be publicized, and that funds be raised in the current year to the amount of at least $20,000. Below this, a circular letter reiterates the same content. The resolution was signed by Phelps, and the circular by John Rankin, Lewis Tappan, and E. Wright Jr. At the bottom of the circular letter, a handwritten list assigns a dollar amount to each of the ten American States it includes. Elizur Wright Jr. writes to Amos A. Phelps on the blank page of this circular about the 50 copies of the Anti-Slavery Report that he is sending to Phelps and the health of ́Bro. Dickinson.́
