Subject: More Beatles
Interesting. Sounds good. As a follow-up, could you post a recording of a performance by Robyn of the Beatles' White Album? Just curious.

Subject: It was 40 years ago today....and Robyn taught the band to play
WOW WOW WOW. What a spectacular performance.
First, it's an excellent recording. From the very first notes, Robyn & Co. just nail this album, one song at a time, to the wall, note by note, while imbuing it with a modern twist. The Beatles themselves cited the complex recording techniques (even by today's standards, not an easy album to play live) as one of the reasons they didn't take it on the road. But, by now, Hitchcock fans have come to expect his uncanny ability to take on difficult and complex covers of just about every flavor and from all genres.
This show is really special though. There are many highlights here, "within you and without you" comes to mind, but the list goes on and on.
I'll always remember this show because I didn't get to see it since I had to leave London earlier in the day on July 1. As it turned out, I had stayed within blocks of 3 Kings Pub the night before, but no one saw fit to tell me he had added a second show the night before.
Oh well, our paths will surely cross again, as they have before.
Thanks for capturing this great celebration of a show and sharing it here.
