Whew! Its a good thing this movie has some first rate bad guys in henchmen Yakima Canutt (Draw), George Cheseboro (Bald), and others; and boss George Walker (Ram Hansen - can you believe this name?). Why, because Rex Lease here is a non-starter - some bad acting and some worse. For no apparent reason, we have two women in this one - young cutie Janet Chandler (Dorothy White) who made 2 films as a child in the 1920s, both uncredited; and 10 more between 1932-35, 9 credited, before she retired after having an accident making this movie - and just as well. The older woman, Mabel Strickland (Mrs. Francis), according to IMDb was born in 1870 - if that's so, and this movie dates from 1935, she's a remarkably good and young looking woman at 65. And, unless she had a stand-in, was a great horsewoman - IMDb lists her as an uncredited stunt person - along with 9 others. Seems like the rest of the cast just walked their way through this movie. As a matter of fact, a great inside joke here is that she manages to fool Canutt into thinking he has shot her by letting her horse ride on while hanging over the side as if unconscious - and then rights herself, fools Canutt who is still trailing her, ropes him, takes his gun and ties him to a tree - that scene is the movie's high point. And there are a few good songs by Johhny Luther's Cowboy Band. Otherwise a lot of boring riding back and forth, an absurd subplot about carrier pigeons and an attempt to squeeze humor from an old alcoholic trying to fix a cuckoo clock. NEXT!

Although the quality of the upload is excellent (as previous reviewer noted), the film itself is among the worst I've ever seen in my life. Actually it's so bad that it is kinda memorable, sorta like in the same way that Boston City Hall is interesting. Yes, this film is so bad that I'm comparing it to Boston City Hall.
There are some OK films on IA with very low reviewer scores. This isn't one of them.
On the plus side, some of the stunt work in this film is quite decent.

While this is an excellent TV print and shows the film to have been made with pretty good production values and sound, this film just doesn't gel. The acting is atrocious at best. While Yakima Canutt has some good stunt riding as does Mabel Strickland, the bulk of the story is a paste up of many patches and doesn't work. Cactus Mack and others uncredited would be doing better work in other films than this in the future. Elmer Clifton, who had a long directing career, was lucky he ever worked again after this one. Take a pass unless you are an absolute "western addict".
