Great
Sound quality is good but this show is not as good as some of the others I have heard. It does like all the shows have a tremendous amount of energy. Check out the Beverly Hills Cop theme song buried in there as well as the classic song 'Black Sabbath' from the first sabbath album on violin no less right before Purple Haze.

poor sound quality
Why do the previous reviewers give this an excellent sound rating? It sounds like it was recorded with a walkman in someone's pocket. I wish reviewers would be more objective about sound quality.

Robert Randolph Is the man.
Its sad when people force their opinions on others. Really, People, stop with the bad reviews because you dont like the band. If you like the band and found the show to be sub par then rate accordingly. Dont just give it 0 stars because you hate the band, just dont rate it at all. Anywho, I think this show was quite the happening. Even though im not a big fan of RRFB I find that this show has alot of energy and im giving it 5 stars. Keep Rocking.

sure, the dead are good, which is like reiterating to me the fact that you know nothing about music, which is deeply rooted in the fact that you are stupid enough to follow in the footsteps of other musically-challenged people by praising trey's so called good music. People like you ruin music for all of us. Get ur head out of ur ass and listen to robert randolph biotch.
wow sounds like somebody is a little bitter over a bad review.........I have an idea, lets stop the my bands dick is bigger than your bands dick crap. Randolph and Phish are both very good in their own way. Now as for this show, I thought it was very solid. The sound quality is very crisp.

The energy at this show is astounding! The sound is a little on the reverby side and the drums are a little too loud, but WHO CARES!? RR&TFB bring their A-game to Tennessee and they completely destroy the crowd! Thanks to Mike for capturing this crazy night.

I really like Robert's version of "Purple Haze," and I hope that he will release a study quality
recording of it very soon. The Family Band was a guest on Connan O'brien's show last week and they performed "Purple Haze," and nearly "rocked the wall paper off the friggin' walls!" It was awesome.

Love the performance
I really, really love the audience and how they really get into the music! Every musician should be jealous.
This recording is quite bass-heavy and a little muddy. It is probably just the venue's problem. I love the music and the crowd!

Great Randolph
Indeed this was an amazing show and arguably the break through performance of the band's career, minus the show on the same stage a year earlear. another review spoke of the energy in the tent than night and this show goer is completely wrong. After all the energy from the crowd was coming from the sun shining above. It was a great show, but I just though that I would point that out.

Illest Randolph Ever?
I'd argue to say that this is the best Rnadolph show to date. Speaking for those who were there, the energy in that tent that night was by far at the highest level of anywhere else in the festival.I cant guarentee everyone felt this way but by the look on the peoples faces and the site of the entire audience just bulging like a single organism at the end of the set. It was the most incredible site ive ever seen at a show

Yes this is one of the best shows from 'Roo04 and some of the better audio - seems that the roo shows are always muffled or you hear anutha band in the background etc
Roadawg - you are unwelcome here. Spare us your company and don't go to any more jam band shows. kkthx
ps - what an ass
pps - RRFB are awesome - saw them a while ago at a FREE Amex Blue show in Chicago - RRFB played every instrument - they were playing 'musical chairs' and everyone was rotating between instruments - NOW THATS MUSICIANSHIP!!!
pps - won some tix to see them at NYE at Navy Pier with Big Head Todd - WXRT kicks butt too!

There comes a time, when a blind man takes your hand, and says, dont you see.
Your comments are uncalled for, and out of context. If you didnt think this show was that excellent, why even post a review? Basically to bash anothers opinion, nothing more. I bet your just another "touch"head, who jumped on somewhere between 89-92. After you've attended 100+ GDshows(PRE 89), I'll take your opinion into consideration.
MOE: Id say even Hanson played better shows than the GD in 95, not a hard feat to beat.
Big thumbs up on this recording! Wish I could have been there. RR is always a pleasure to listen to, but I guess I'll have to stick to Melvin Taylor here in chicago....RR never comes here! DONT STOP UNTIL YOU GET ENOUGH

I am going to have to say that Umphrey's was the best show at Roo this year, but that's not to say this one wasn't a hell of a time. That armed robberies comment shows that the review that contains it is worthless and shouldn't be listened to. Randolph is an amazing stage performer.

Don't listen to Roadawg
C'mon, Sam Bush Band? SCI? I don't think so man. RR blew them away easy. And I can think of 5 Dead shows off the top of my head that this EASILY blows out of the water (Pick any GD 95 show and you'll see). This is a great set.
And you shouldn't bash other people simply because their opinion isn't the same as yours. That's called narcissism.
And that armed robberies reference is totally out of line.

Best Show at 'Roo my ass!
I guess you missed mostly all the shows. I can think of many sets that were much better than this IMHO. Checkout The Dead; Dylan; SCI; Ani DiFranco; S.Winwood; Gov't Mule; TAB w/ the Nashville Chamber Orchestra and Trey's electric 2nd set;Sam Bush Band; Doc Watson; I mean come on, even Dave Matthews' dumbass mustered up quite a nice group of Phriends. I could go on and on, but that is a waste of my time. Definately not the best show at Bonnaroo, if you feel this way I truly, truly feel sorry for you and even your mother who has to probably listen to Robert Randolph, man do I feel sorry, but I'm glad you enjoyed it so much. People like you on the positive side I guess help keep a nickle or dime in RR's pocket(So he doesn't have to do as many armed robberies as usual). Marlin I am really glad that you had a great experience at this show, but if you have seen hundreds of shows like you say, any, I mean any Grateful Dead show you saw had to be better than this, all you need are 5 GD shows to top this one to put it outta your top 5. Without a doubt. "Even a Blind Man Knows When the Sun is Shining."

Best show at Bonnaroo
This was hands down THE best performance at Bonnaroo. I've been to hundreds of great shows in my life, and this was definitely one of the top 5 shows that I've ever experienced. There was so much energy in that tent that night and Robert Randolph played his heart out. I don't think that I stopped dancing the entire show.

Best Show at Bonnaroo?
Hey I was at this show about ten feet from the stage. It truly was an amazing experience. Without any doubt it was the best show he has done. The guests were awesome, but I could have gone with a little more Randolph being the only guitar player on stage. Atleast for some of the fan favorites. However I still think this was the best Randolph show ever. I think it was potentialy the best set at Bonnaroo. But hey thats just my opinion,
