Subject: confused
Well this show rocks. defiantly great sound. But im a little confused on a track where he talks about him being the opening band for the cardinals? Thanks for the show. it is very very rich with detail, and texture.

Subject: Thank You Ryan
I was at this show and never thought I'd get such
a great souvenir from that night. The whole band
was incredible, not to mention it was in front of
500 people in a strip mall, in the middle of nowhere.

Subject: HiMD is lossless
HiMD technology is lossless. It records in PCM WAV audio. The hot spots were sections where the level was set too high on my recorder. I have since switched to laptop, but that is not always feasible. HiMD is one way to go for lossless recording in a small package.

Subject: Minidisc?
I take it a Sony HiMD (see lineage) is a mini disc recorder? This may explain what the taper describes as a few "hot spots" in the recording (see text file). Mini disc recorders are lossy and utilize a compressed audio scheme/recording system. The audio frequency range of a MD is less than that of a CD and certainly a DAT. If you are an audio freak like me, this can make a difference in a recording.

I hate to come off like I am complaining (because I am not). I appreciate the taper taking the time to tape the show (lord knows I did not). I'm just trying to educate as many people as possible (maybe even the taper). When push comes to shove, please try to avoid recording in mini disc! Dat or laptop (or some other digital lossless recording device) are the preferred recording means as there is no loss in audio quality. Thanks and party on.

Otherwise great show! Can't wait for Ryan to come to my neck of the woods!

Easily one of the best shows this year. Performance of What Sin is amazing. Nice to hear songs from Demolition and Love is Hell.

This is probably the best recording of all Ryan Adams shows on the archive.

Subject: Sounds terrific
This show sounds very good. Ryan is especially congenial throughout and there is some decent crowd interaction. A good set that really sounds great. Thank you for posting this.

Subject: Very Very Nice...
A really nice show, nice performance, and good soundboard recording.....only drawback is some crackling throughout, I guess due to some overloading...still a must have download.....thanks for putting it up!!!! I'm spoiled by all the Dead Board Tapes....If 5 is the perfect show by way of sound quality, peformance and setlist then this really should be a 4.5 but I'm rounding up....

Notes

Ryan Adams & The Cardinals

NOTES: Fade in on d1t01. This sounds great overall, there are a few hot spots here and there but
not too shabby. This was a great show, please do not sell this. If it ends up on Ebay I will stop
sharing, so please don't be a dink. Thanks to Ryan's sound guy for the board feed.
