Subject: Great, interesting music
I loved this pick, and agree with the other poster. Usually the staff picks aren't that varied, and stay within the same artists all the time, but this was a gem. Thanks very much for opening my ears.

Subject: Great Show
Really wonderful. I am not always impressed by the staff picks, but this one is really worth the download.

Subject: A gift from a master
This is a rare treat, in more ways than one.
Rare in that, its a master of his genre, traditional persian classical music, and, this is the first time that he has played in an outdoor concert space.
Its a gift to music lovers, from a true master.
The assemblage of players in this ensemble is first rate, and they are all masters of their instruments and genre.
The first set is traditional persian classical. The second set is a world fusion mix, that is a deep crossing of perisan and spanish, creating a moorish feeling at times, and a flamenco feeling at tother times, and outright solo'd in each players particular genre. A great blending of worlds music.
I'll once again, give the performance and ensemble a 5-star rating, since I have to rate it to post a review. The caliber of the players is amazing!
The recording was done from way down front, in an attempt to capture the stage sidefill pa and subwoofers. I was at the mercy of the soundman, wind (had to wrap the mics up in deadrats). This is what I captured.
I hope you enjoy this most wonderful extension of kindness from a master of his genre.
peace love and wellness to all
