Subject: yet another stellar show
Wow - This is what the Samples all about. Top notch playing and sound quality. This SBD is amazing, it sounds like an official release (it should have been). Beautifully played - great jams, energy and a nice relaxed vibe puts you there at Red Rocks on a late summer night. The playing is above par, even for the Samples, and that's saying a lot. It's perfect and tasty from start to finish. One of the best on here for sure - thanks to whoever made this available!

Subject: Clarifying the Setlist
I just downloaded this one and it sounds great! I remember this show quite distinctly. I'm pretty sure the Reejers and Dave Matthews Band opened. I do have a few clarifications. Jay Anderson was on the Soundboard. I spent most of the show on the side of the stage dancing. I even jigged out onto the stage briefly during Underwater People as Al Laughlin had coaxed me out there (You can hear Al telling the Light man to turn up the lights). I'll never forget seeing thousands of faces lit up by the house lights. Anyway, there is a brief "Iron Man" outtro after UWP. The first three songs on D2t4 of the setlist are the Encore at Red Rocks as follows:
Waited Up>
Could It Be Another Change>
Waited Up

The rest of D2t4, the "Acoustic Solo Filler" is not solo. Andy Sheldon (Wood) is also playing. They play Birth of Words and Did You Ever Look So Nice followed by the first few Chords of Giants. Just thought I would clarify. Thanks, Pierre

This show is out of control. This is where you hear how much Jeep and Al added to the sound of The Samples. The Sound Engineer has a lot of fun mixing this show - you can tell by the delays and sound effects. The Band hits this one out of the park. They should have released this show as a live album.
