San Francisco World's Fair


News Parade newsreel footage of the San Francisco World's Fair in 1939, the Golden Gate International Exposition. The fair was intended to celebrate the opening of two bridges, the Golden Gate and the Bay Bridge. It was held on Treasure Island.

Subject: World's Fair fair

Mildly entertaining overview of the World's fair shown here. I wasn't overblown by this footage, as most of it IS pretty standard, but a nice snapshot of what was then.
