Harry E. HumphreySanta Claus Hides In Your Phonograph (1922)

This is one of the more unusual of Edison's records. Listen to Santa's sinister laugh he makes as he tries to sound fun loving and kind. The www.menloparkmuseum.com staff agrees -- if we were kids, we'd run!

Subject: It's HO HO HO!
My favorite (sarcasm) actor, Harry Humphrey is up to no good again. He can't do Shakespeare, and he can't play Santa either. I have no idea whether there were Santa clauses on the street in the 1920's going 'HO HO HO'. I'm sure there were. Anyways, why Mr Humphrey choose a Dr. Evil Laugh I'll never quite know...
