Notes
This volume explores the rest of my tracks of 1997. The tracks were created around the year and are about in correct order. All of the tracks are improvised and/or sequenced live except Multimedia, which actually was my first commercial work. It was used as a background for a certain product presentation CD-ROM. It's also the last track where I used computer aided sequencing (Amiga+Octamed). I would return to computer sequencers not until 9 years later.
I felt I had to get away from the computer. Using the devices was a three dimensional and a physical experience, whereas computer provided only a two dimensional display. I didn't like to be dependent on the hand-mouse-screen-mind feedback, but experiment and immerse with the body-mind feedback. When I had learned to use the devices well enough they became part of my body. Using the devices freed me from any visual presentations of time, which sequencers usually suggest (left to right, top to down...).
The following volumes will document my ever more deepening aural voyages.
