very solid show.
all that is mentioned bellow is very true. the shaking the tree and hey pocky way have to be some of my favorite versions of each.
kang is absolutely on fire throughout the show, highlights in songs i mentioned and something the other reviewers didnt touch on was the end of got what he wanted > lester had a coconut.
my goodness such a funky end to got what he wanted into a great three minute intro of some beautiful stuff before lester fully drops. so incredible, all members going off but i feel kang really shines the most.
definitely worth the download

This was by far THE BEST cheese show that I saw in 1999. I am not a big fan of this venue, hell i wont even tape a show at Bogart's these days, but on this evening everything was forgotten, plus i won free tix from our local NPR station. I was running my AKG's, but my D8 broke at setbreak (set 1 was the last music my poor old d8 ever recorded), so i never got to re-listen to the second set until now. I first must say that this is an awesome recording, i wish they still allowed sbd patches, but those days are gone my friends. The first set is amazing, and IMHO is the better of the two. The "Climb" is out of this world, and Kang was on fire the whole night. The "Blackberry Blossom" >"Shakin the Tree" >"Jam" in the second set is mind melting. Just alot of above average jamming, I think the boys were really having fun, and it shows. Being a longtime Deadhead, the "Pocky Way" encore was a real treat, Great show!!!
This was the last time SCI played at Bogart's, since it is so very small. It seems after Phish's hiatus they just exploded in terms of venue size. Bogarts fits about 1,000 IMO, and is a very intimate setting. Anyways, enough rambling, download this gem NOW, and enjoy.
