Ida Mingle was not a theosophist, but originally the private secretary to Charles Fillmore, who is regarded as being the Founder of the "Unity Movement." She left that movement and founded the School of Liveable Christianity.
The Science of Love w/ Key to Immortality is an extraordinary but difficult work, intended as the author put it, for 'the little flock' at the end of the age. She recommends that you read "Steps in the Way" vol 1 & 2, before you read this work and I would agree. "Steps in the Way" prepares you for the thinking in Science of Love, and is an absolutely remarkable piece of Christian esoteric writing. For those who might know about the reference, Ida Mingle is like a female Harold Percival (author of "Thinking and Destiny").
At any rate, Science of Love is one of the great Christian esoteric works of all time in my view, and I strongly recommend Steps in the Way as well.
