Like many a Christian you struggle to sit through a sermon. You even erect walls around your faith to keep out DOUBT. The questions just grow and gnaw at you. “Why is there so much violence and inconsistency in the bible? Who exactly decided the bible stories anyhow? Why is there such rift with science?” Before turning to prayer, turn an inquiring mind to my guest, Dr. Valerie Tarico, author of Trusting Doubt. Dr. Tarico asserts in her remarkable book “You can accept ancient conflicting notions of God or you can grow spiritually through DOUBT that leads to TRUTH.” Dr. Valerie Tarico – a former fundamentalist Christian - graduated from Wheaton College, Billy Graham’s alma mater. She earned a doctorate in clinical psychology and focuses on the psychology of moral development.
