King & Spalding are heavy on the lobbyist side of matters.
- The Trump organization is a King& Spalding client.
- Bobby Burchfield of King and Spalding was Trump's ethics advisor.
- Gilbert B. Kaplan of the same firm is Trump's nominee for Under Secretary of Commerce for International Trade.
- Dan Coats, currently serving as Director of National Intelligence, was co-chairman of the Washington government relations office of King & Spalding.
- Stephen Vaughn, general counsel to the United States Trade Representative was a partner at King Spalding.
