'Co Kla Coma' was the working name of a collaboration between 2 groups - Severed Heads from Australia and The Fifth Way Militia, originally from Tulsa OK. This was the third album recorded in a studio in the 'Jewel Box' district of Santa Cruz, CA where T5WM relocated in the late 1990's. Most of it was mixed in Australia although some were remixed by the mysterious 'Dentist' of Berlin. As with previous albums the idea was intermix a 'comatone' signal into pop music such that it would be played over radio. There are some scant signs that this took place. After completing this record the members dispersed for the next decade, with some rumour of a new release called '96KHz' in the works.

Reviewer:AlexJonesLemming - - December 30, 2008 Subject: This really is good! Severed Heads -- joke name, an experimental noise pop project, Ellard tried to trick people into thinking they were "industrial" -- they influenced industrial heavily w early pre-pc electronic manipulation.
GREAT STUFF. Rotund for Success is most "techno-ish" but still bizarre and twisted, on Sevcom website.
Cuisine also good. Some of their stuff may be "too irritating" in the manner that some of Frank Zappa's early stuff seemed irritating, apparently by design. Everything I've heard so far on Sevcom is very listenable and weird.
I find this perfectly listenable and *FUN* but you know how the average music listener is, either msm pablum, country, rap, or death metal. This is outside categories.
