I enjoyed this little thriller. The acting is decent enough, the pacing is good, and it certainly has the pre-war atmosphere. Dialog is good, even snappy at times. Most of the action is in the form of stock footage of Shanghai being bombed by the Japanese. I recognized a number of Chinese actors, including child actor Layne Tom, Jr., who is uncredited in the movie, at IMDb and
Wikipedia. He was in several Charlie Chan movies as various sons, and got to say 3 sentences in this one.
I downloaded the 512Kb MPEG4 file. Video quality was adequate, the audio was fine.
