Subject: A little disappointing
Like all Librivox short collections, this had a mix of the good and bad. Some of the stories were dull, and some of the readers, though I'm thankful for their contributions, had very thick accents. It was also not very well edited; the Poe work, "The Monkeys Paw", and "A Strange Tale of Cannibalism" all surely belong under horror, while "The Thinking Machine" should have been under normal short fiction. Or better, left out, as it was absolutely dreadful; dull, pompous, and nonsensical.
It's worth picking and choosing from this selection, but as a whole it was a bit of a let down.
