Kevin M KrebsKevin M Krebs - Sine Fiction vol. VII) The Soft Machine [sine007] (August 15, 2003)

Continuing the William S Burroughs trilogy, the hideous Mayan caper is exposed by the haunting tracks of Kevin M Krebs (833-45, Emit). Have you become the Sailor, wandering through eerie electronic landscapes littered with discarded Trak goods?

Subject: Surreal Soundscapes
One of my favorites from the outstanding Sine Fiction volumes. "Mudflats" and "Something Like Jellyfish" offer dark electronics, abstract rhythms, and odd percussive combinations all of which work together to generate a surreal atmosphere. "Coal Dust Whisper" begins as a solemn, slow-moving piece with a steady beat and evolves into a wall of ear-splitting electric noise. Excellent listening for those who enjoy the more abstract variety of electronic music.
