Sun, CancelledSun, Cancelled - On My 8th Day at Sea Ep [SiS-02] (September 10, 2004)

Sun, Cancelled is the solo project of the young Kael Smith. This is his first release. Besides that he is also the leader of the wonderful Bear vs Larger Bear. His songs remind us of Owen, Empress and the most acoustic intimist moments of Slowdive. It makes us dreamy and melancholic. He is a very nice guy. We will hear again of him in the future. This is a beautiful beginning.

Thank you for your time and fervour.

Subject: very nice indeed...
a small colllection of four simple but beautiful indiepop songs. i have really enjoyed this EP, and i would love to hear more from this guy!

Subject: like on a beach in winter
a nice ep of smooth ambient/rock, which indeed reminds of slowdive and (slightly) korean singer thomas cook, at pieces sounding like gibbard's strained and pensive vocals. nothing new, but a good production over all.
