Subject: recommended!
this release was a nice start to my morning today. perhaps not the ideal time for this type of music (i recommend late night) but regardless, i think S.M.T. is off to a good start. kicking things off is 'schwerkraft' a deep mover that will get your head bobbing and your body moving. the NASA apollo samples are perhaps a bit cliche but they work well here, building the atmosphere and upping the tension at key points. this track has a killer groove that won't let you go! the dub remix chills things out - reinvinting the track with a darker, more mysterious sound. transitions the mood nicely into 'subraum' which fills your ears with deep dark and dence spheres. a quality ambient track and a nice contrast to the other more beat-oriented tracks. 'geistig nackig' gets things moving again with a strong but chilled groove. nice sounds yet feels like its missing something. a bit unfinished perhaps yet still a nice send-off to a quality ep. i'm looking forward to hearing more from S.M.T.!
