Got this CD from my roommate Michael McDorman, who was at the festival. He met the taper and got a copy. Not sure what the exact source was, possibly mini disc recorder, but as I said, I'm not sure. Excellent show, great sound quality. Minor volume adjustment in track 2. Other that that excellent recording.
Enjoy!!!

Subject: i taped it.
Subject: i taped it.
and you are correct my fine sir, that is in fact i MD recorder that purchase while in singapore, just before that. i dont remember meeting michael, but i do remember getting skunked on some hash i was trying to buy for me and eric :), down in this palazzo off the main square where the stage was. he wasn't an italian local i remember that. and only i'm to blame.
but i remember they played tabasco for me and my wife and these two slovenian deadheads Jure and Miha, and Allan was about to start something else and eric told him to play tabasco, you can hear it on the tape.
somewhere out there, there is a recording from this little wine bar that jure got with this shitty little mic. i tried to stay but had to catch a flight from rome to athens in the morning and they didnt start till really really late, like 3 i think.
anyway, thank aaron for letting me pop my MD recorder into a pro dat player that was taking the board feed. i remember we couldnt find a dat, but that would have a much better pull, i think i accidently recorded this show at 32k instead of 44, but did a bit of an edit to make it as nice as i could.
far as i know i was the only one popped out that board. so i think this is the only source of that night.
sick beautiful evening, and the Domenico Modugno or Al Martino sang 'Volare' in the set before that and the crowd was going nuts. during the soulive set it was just me, my wife, miha, jure, and this italian mom and her daughter, dancing. i think were on hash brownies or something, cause they were killing it.
and i guess micheal was probably shaking it up too. it was a killer set. and the tabasco is just firey i might add.
