Subject: Sassy Ann's
Sassy Ann's is an impressive 120-year-old 3-story Victorian home with two very cool bars (one on each of the first two floors). The ceiling of the second floor is cut out exposing the third floor balcony (old attic) where the soundboard is located and there are numerous outcoves for drinking and socializing.
Unfortunately, the mic placement could not be located at the optimum place to compensate for the chatty room. Although, the set was fantastic and the band sounded great the chatty bar is a distraction. I intended to use a soundboard feed but it didn't work out. However, the recording does capture a special night of music by the SeepeopleS. I'm definitely checking these guys out next time they come to town.
