Subject: too much fun
What a night this was! Frankly, I was a little torn between heading down to the loft party or going to see Special Purpose after a stellar STS9 show at the showbox (didn’t know how stoked I would be on listening to their type of music after dancing to STS9 grooves for 2+ hours), but as most of my friends were heading out to the little red studio, I decided it was my best option and we caught a cab. This was the best decision I’ve made all year! The party was top notch (one of the best late night scenes I’ve ever had the privilege to be a part of) and the 2 phenomenal set’s by Special Purpose were so outstanding that when I woke up the next morning (or afternoon to be more specific) it was the memory of the special purpose show, and not STS9 that was giving me goosebumps of joy. The great energy of the room is not necessarily captured by the onstage mic’s in this recording, however the music is top notch and WELL worth a DL. This is one of the most creative, original, outstanding bands on the scene today. Don’t think they really play out of Seattle but I highly recommend you check em out on Archive.

Notes
