Subject: Early set...
I really should dig out my DATs of the early set from this show and transfer them one of these days, just to complete the show....I'll add it to my "to do list". :-)

Subject: Good Example of Anthony Era
This was a really fun show (and recording sounds good, too.) Its a great example of what the Spin Doctors sounded like with Anthony. Very much full of life. And there are lots of good songs which were only played in this era, so this one is very different from the other shows on archive.org. Not the first show I would download from archive, but one of the first.

BTW, this was a "secret" gig as it was billed as "The Weeds" and not "The Spin Doctors"

Notes

* with Arnie Lawrence on saxophone

Lineup:
Chris Barron - vocals
Aaron Comess - drums
Mark White - bass
Anthony Krizan - guitar

Notes:
- Occasional mic/PA crackling starting midway through set 2.
- Dropout at 1:15 of d1t03; again at 5:30 of d1t05.

Edited notes from Scott Bernstein, posted 06/14/05 on the Spin Doctors' mesage board:
"There was a 3rd set that night -- a private "preshow" early set that is not included on this download. This extra set explains why they dug DEEP into their catalog for the 2nd set because they'd already played all of the "hits" in the early set. To be exact, the Set 1 & Set 2 in this show should technically be labeled as "Late show Set 1 & Late show Set 2". The Schoeps were Eliot Byron's, the Sony ECM-959 was mine, and the Mackie 1202 was one that I had borrowed."

"I was the one who set it up, got the mixer, borrowed the mics, and wore the headphones to do the mixing. Eric Vandercar was patched into the chain and this was apparently sourced from his master."
