Subject: Pretty Nice
I forgot how much I like Spoon live (their studio recordings leave me a little cold). Great performance and a good recording. Could be sharper. An earlier review noted it being a little muffled, and that's a good description. Good separation of sounds though. Drums, guitar, bass, vocals, rarely does one overpower and drown out another. There's some noise on track 4 which, from a comment at the end of track 5, may be a tech problem from the show.
I don't want to sound too critical. It's a good show and a more than enjoyable listen. I give it a 4, but it's a high 4. You could use this recording to convince friends to go to a Spoon show.

Subject: pretty good
Really long set, which is really nice. Sound quality is pretty good. it's a little muffled / non-direct though. There is some minor nearby crowd noise, but it's pretty representative of the concert. I wish it was a little more clear of a recording. Full recording time is ~ 1hr 30min. Glad to see this semi-recent show on archive.org. Keep the Spoon recordings coming! I was inspired to stream a show of theirs after hearing them as most of the music in the Will Ferrell movie "Stranger Than Fiction". Thanks for allowing mp3's / streaming.

This looks to be a GREAT show. I just saw them Saturday night (2 days after this show) and the band was in peak form! This particular recording is extra special due to the inclusion of the entire "Soft Effects" ep played as an encore... We were only lucky enough to get "Get Out the State" here in Houston.
Its great to see SPOON (easily Texas' best band, IMHO) getting the national and world wide audience they deserve.
Mas, por favor.
Big thanks to Andrew and Josh for loaning me the mics and pre-amp.
