Subject: Fun night with spearhead.
I grabbed this show because it was on the 'this day in history' box on the front page of the LMA and because it had the streaming option.. Soundboard quality is really awesome and crisp. All instruments show up great. 'Crazy, Crazy' is a great opener. Almost folky santana-ish. 'Rock the nation' has a cool flute too with the normal full band. Great piano work on the early tracks. "Yes I will" is really uplifting and fun with each band member doing cool solos. Cool samba / funk style version of 'pray for grace'. 'Everyone deserves music' has a a Police tease in there and sounds very 'dramatic' / 'cinematic' with large operatic organ parts and jams on for a while. "We don't stop" is really powerful. and "Sometimes" is always a fun jaunty guitar driven song and has a Nivana tag at the end of it. A really fun full band overall set by Michael Franti and Spearhead.

Known flaws:
THe levels at the start of this recording were hardley moving at all. Mid way thru "Crazy Crazy Crazy"
The levels were adjusted for that song. Unfortuitley after that the levels from "Stay Human" on were right at the peaking point. Nero Wave Editor was used to up the level for the first part of the show. THere are still some level fluctuations during "Crazy Crazy Crazy". This is not a bad recording but some artifacts may be present due to peaking levels on the master DAT.
