Subject: It seems to me
like most of the people reviewing this recording are not into this type of music in the first place, which makes me wonder why they took the time to write reviews. Take their opinions with a grain of salt.

This is ambient music. It's meant for meditation, background music, or rest. By those standards, I find this recording to be pretty good (even though I haven't yet listened to enough of it to give a fair star rating).

Subject: Legacy of Tangerine Dream
The legacy of Tangerine Dream is still alive and kicking, as this stuff proves.

While the overall effect is positive, some truly hair-raising moments are sadly dulled by the monstrous size of this sprawl of sound. Could do with some editing and a tidy ending, much like a latter day Stephen King novel.

Bet it was super-cool being there, though.

I'm not much for ambient stuff, but this isn't bad. Certainly harmless enough to pass the time at home or work.

For a really radical concept, check out this link (http://www.park.nl/park_cms/public/index.php?thisarticle=118). It's Beethoven's 9th Symphony streched to 24 hours, without any pitch modification. CRAZY! Well, crazy as far as ambient stuff is concerned.

Subject: Have to agree with Tyler
Tyler hit it. I was also looking forward to this "show". I spent the greater part of yesterday at work listening to it, and wrapped it up this morning. Overall, I like the sonic soundscape, but after the first two or three hours, without any beat or major movement, I was already imagining other music in my head, while the recording was still playing. Once I got towards hour 5 or 6 there were some hints of beat or rhythm, but nothing keeping me that interested.

After checking out the artist website though, i am looking forward to checking out some of the other .ogg samples or clips from past shows he/she has to offer.

Subject: A little too 'etherial' for me
This sounded like a really cool recording. Soundboard quality, directly from the artist and imporvisational stuff from a 'chill out' tent at a rave in Finland. Cool stuff indeed. And over 10 hours of music! so happy the streaming version was here to listen to. but as far as the music quality, it just wasn't for me. Far too 'abient' or 'etherial' for my tastes. It would take 15-20 minutes just for some of the drones / notes to change. Too spacy. I like chill out music, but this seemed more like droning / meditation music. But I can appreciate that at a heavy rave at 7am in the morning a room with th is music would probably be much appreciated.

Notes

10 hours and 40 minutes live performance of improvised ambient at a chill out room of a rave party. Minimalistic and progressive, with some rhythmical content.
