Subject: Recording leaves much to be desired, but...
Two years on, this remains one of the best State Radio concerts I attended. My friend and I brought signs for the then still very new song Mansin Humanity and elicited the famous "oh, you bastards / we might [...] this up" comments. Moreover, Calling All Crows was debuted at this show, featuring a magnificent end-jam and pretty cool intro that were never seen again. The Arsenic and Clover here is also one of its best performances, and also has a couple of different parts that can be heard only on this here recording.

Unfortunately the recording itself leaves a lot to be desired, since you pretty much can't hear the bass. The highlight of the aforementioned end-jam in Crows was Chuck's lead bass solo, and the song itself had a ripping bassline that has since been toned down, so a lot of the best things about this performance are, sadly, lost. Same goes for the show as a whole.

All the same, this show is *definitely* worth the download - even though the quality is lacking, there are some timeless and unique versions of State Radio classics on here that no self-respecting SR tape collector should miss.

what a show... great recording quality also. the best version of murder of crows which is called now "calling all crows"... revolutionaries is great also. most of the songs are played on a bit higher speed than usual

Subject: DINER KID
The show was great, energy was awesome from both the band and the crowd. It seemed the crazier we got they crazier they got... then during The Dinner Song (which is rare these days for some reason) they brought up this 13 year old kid and he sang the words at the end... Great show highly recommended.
