Subject: Energy packed bread!
This is pretty funny, actually... Junior hasn't enough energy for fun, so he eats a sandwich made with energy packed Sunbeam Bread. Now he has the energy to sit on a horse, or sit in the seat of a ride, as the ride moves him around!

Subject: Yearly review of this commercial
I know this commercial only gets reviewed about once a year, but I'm not convinced this ad was produced for television. It's too slow-paced and repetitive. Overlay notwithstanding (I've seen any number of period ads for movie theater presentation with text overlays), my guess is, this spot was produced for movie theaters.

Poor kid doesnt have any energy at all! Even to go on the merry-go-round! (Wow, he DOES have problems then) but what's this? His friend has sandwiches with Sunbeam bread!! Yay! He has energy now! Kid and his friend go um, doubling on one horse on the merry-go-round. Before any explanation can be given, a vibrating target hypnotises us to buying more Sunbeam.. Yes.. Master..

This commercial is the true essence of silliness. I never new a kid that didn't have enough energy to ride a ride at the county fair. But Billy sure has enough energy to bounce a ball. Then his friend drops by... "But look!" Jimmy's brought his stash of drugs!...This is classic TV (you can tell by the overlay) Silly, but a keeper.
