This is an amazing documentary which tries hard to balance facts, but with Monsanto refusing to be interviewed proves impossible.

Have a look at the food you buy and where you buy it and you will be shocked. I was recently made aware of the 'aspartame' fiasco which led to several Multiple Sclerosis (MS) symptoms being caused by diet sodas (look for 'Sweet Misery' and 'Sweet Remedy'). I tried to find things without it, but this is getting harder - try for yourself and see.

The problem is most people choose not to undertake the 'harder' disciplines, sciences and maths, but prefer things that are 'cool' or 'get money' e.g. media and law. This results in people who have no solid grounding in questioning scientists, even less chance at countering PR merchants.

You may not know that the British Company 'Tate and Lyle' also had a dubious past as no-one could see the NEED for REFINED SUGAR! If you wanted something sweet - you ate fruit or honey! Where the sugar crop history differs is that the original sugar beet produced a small amount compared to the cane and took much longer to grow. The result was plantations sprang up all around the world.

What this film shows is a transnational supercompany can have DIRECT and INDIRECT influence over Governments. This is scary - what power do the people have then?

If you imagine the old mining or truck system where every employee had to buy their tools from the company shop at higher prices than the blacksmith, rent their company house a higher rates than the local market dictated - but hey, the 'nice company' would give you a loan to pay for all this! In the end you would barely have enough to live on, and the excess from working 80hours in the dark down a mine - probably enough to buy 5 drinks at the local pub!

If these GMO's become widespread - as Monsanto desires - it will DWARF the influence of EVERY OTHER COMPANY. Microsoft will seem insignificant in comparison.

If you want PROPER choice, you need to do the background research, and perhaps pay a little more today for a free future tomorrow.

Hats off to the journalists and team that produced this documentary, with thorough research (just started at Google!) followed up by speaking directly with the people concerned.

I've long had my reservations about Monsanto, but this - and other information that has come to my attention - clinches it.
