The first release by Earth Monkey's spoken word sub-label Talking Monkey
A collaboration between poet Ann Wilson and Clutters Shaun Blezard for a mixed media exhibition held at The Nest in Barrow-in-Furness from May-July 2006
Ann responded in poetry to lo-fi digital photos of Barrow Island taken by Shaun. The poems were then recorded and added to a soundscape created by Shaun, incorporating field recordings of the island. Shaun also used recording of Ann singing some of the poems, recorded on her mobile phone.
The Resting Bench album includes the soundscape, the original recordings of the poems and copies of the exhibition artwork.
