Subject: Appreciation for a long standing tradition.
I know the “tapers” have had their accolades in the past, but it should be mentioned that the intrepid group of folks that haul their equipment to a show and get it on archival media for posterity might just be the reason the “Dead” sound is still alive. Evidence is the similarity that PAF has to the current sound, or is it that the current sound has a distinct similarity to PAF. Or, was it that Bob’s voice and guitar was the thing that was missing from PAF? I miss Jerry, but the band is keeping the tunes alive and that’s the thing that counts. I would conjecture that we have never had this wealth of Rock and Roll history to be able to explore a band. Those of us that couldn’t “make the tour” owe an immense debt of gratitude to the tapers. This recording is evidence that the whole gig is still alive. My sincere thank you to the ladies and gentlemen of the archival persuasion.

Subject: Nice mellow show
sometimes people always talk about the rockin sets but some of my most memorable are the sets that are just smooth and feel good, for me this was another one of those. Everyone has there opinions on everyting but mine is that all in all this was a nice show and the band was having a good time playing. The security at the show was relaxed, the vibe was good and the music reflected the mood of the evening. When i got up the next morning shakedown was still set up in the far corner of the parking lot, i mean how lax security is that? The recording is nice thanks for posting, my speakers have a hard time keeping up with phil, other than that its nice to hear it again. Thanks to the tapers, the fans, and the good ol' grateful dead for another nice memeory.
