This show was such a great way to end the tour. Having lost two Dead Head friends this Spring, I felt this show delivered sweet sentiments, with lot's of soul at an incredibly beautiful venue. Wow, their were a lot of special spirits there with us. We got our Eyes of the World for Kathryn and Box of Rain for Paul. Sweet. Not to mention the Into the Mystic . . . god Warren's voice was eery. And I dig the new sounding drumz/space . . . Not Fade Away boys. Please come back soon.

Many thanks for the recording and making it possible for those of us unable to make the show to still enjoy it. These guys sound great and their continued efforts after so many years is remarkable.

I think the band has shown that they are quite capable of creating a world of sound by themselves however add the electronica during rhythm devils and space and wow--out of this world this show was a heck of a way to end the spring tour. will they tour again? as the song goes...the music never stopped, thanks taper for such a crisp recording

listened to this on sirius. my living room was transformed into a very strange place during drums and space. That Space actually scared the crap out of me! Into Days Between and Dark Star - people this is some serious deep/dark music, they were not fooling around. And to bring us back to earth with One More Sat. Night - classic DEAD! This ain't the GRATEFUL Dead, but it's the next best thing!

Really enjoyed this event. The gorge is hard on the feet and my lips got chapped badly but they DO allow camping. passinger rocked the house-the brent style organ chops were almost melting the desert air. the bucket was rockin, bobby's singing was great. I liked the "never stop" chant by bob at the end of the music never stopped. Glad to see some good reviews here. the gratful dead website has some bad reviews on this. Please people, I saw shows I thought were worse with jerry often (at least with less energy). The gorge is a nice place, I hope the boys return soon. ---"Firefly can you hear me, shine on glowing, brief and brigtly!!"---

WOW!!
What a great run! These guys have definately gellled over the past month or so. This rendition of "into the mystic" just tickles me. I was on the floor at 'The Knick' (that's right I said the Knick as we will always know it) when they broke it out and I think its a testament to the flexibility of this band. I've been to 75 Grateful shows before this tour and thought that particular # would never change in my heart. But I'm here to say that after having the privilage of jumpin on the bus and riding it from Albany-Wilkes-Barre, I will now say 80! This is not Grateful Dead but The Dead and these guys have raised the bar for all that follow.
...the seeds that were silent all burst into bloom...
BTW those were my shirts on lot :)

WOWY WOW WOW WOW!
First of all: Thank you tapers, uploaders, and Archive.org
Huge Thanx to SIRIUS RADIO for being the vehicle in which we all got on and teleported into Washington State's Gorge for this intersteller mindblower of a final show!
Waiting around anxiously for the start we just knew it was going to be a great one - for the first time in my life, and all others in company, we lived out a LIVE Dead Show from the comfort of my Kitchen that we had converted into a 600Watt VIP section, Soundboard quality musical mystery tour, somehow seamlessly sharing that magical energy we all hold so dearly in our hearts from over 2,220 miles away!
It was truely one of the best LIVE show experiences I can recall having with the boys.
Thank you everyone!
the birds, the bees, the flowers, and the trees . . ., the nest, the hive, and all that's alive . . ., the bolt, the blue, the white and red, but most of all The Grateful Dead!!!
peace, love, and may it live on

Subject: Passenger > Hell in a Bucket
This mini-sequence is ass-kickingly awesome. I never really cared for Passenger much (not sure why) until recently and this particular match-up has helped with that change of heart. Wish I could have been there. Last time I was at the Gorge, I bit by a rattlesnake in the campgrounds, but that wouldn't have kept me away (if I didn't live in Texas and could afford the time/money to travel).
Thanks to the taper for a nice pull!

Sounds ex-cellent! Thank you. It was a magical day and night. I've been itching to re-live this show, and it hasn't even been 48 hours yet. What a great privilege it is to be able to hear these great performances/recordings so soon after the event.
I, too, would love to hear a recording of the Doobs' set. They are not opposed to internet sharing of unreleased live shows, so if any taper managed to pull the Doobies' set, please bring it on. Thanks.

Subject: Wine Cellar of the mind
What a great show, what a great recording.
The Archive is like a wine cellar that I cannot afford. I love to go in there, pick a great vintage, and drink it as many times as I like.
These shows are like a great wine. We know how we want it to taste, and having tasted it before we know what we are looking for. This wine continues to surprise me because even new and different, it tastes great, and even better, I love the complexity.
A special mention to Billy and Mickey, no matter how good a tape, drums and space never sound as good as they do when you are there, under the starry sky, with such a loud stereo.
Enjoy it while it lasts...
