Subject: The President Speeks
I do not know why students of the Confederate Government do not read this book like they ought to . It is straight from the Presidents mouth . Everything is there , the history ,the battles ,seccession reasons , everything in detail. If Mr. Davis could have went to court to argue the right for secession he would have shown everyone why it was a right . That is why he was never allowed to go to court. They knew he was right and they were guilty of war crimes so they never gave him that voice . Read this book and put down the others . It will enlighten you.
