Subject: and Riots in the Southwest
Set to a curious rolly polly organ score, this film is quite a good overview of the logging practices of the time. From tree cutting to the river ride the logs go through. This is all very thorough, but I am suspicious of what the real purpose of this film really was. The main suspicion lies in the fact the film makes stern mention the loggers get to eat 3 times during the movie. Were unions clamping down and logging companies wanted their side told? Hmmmm...

Subject: The River Wild
A rather bizarre piece of paper company propaganda, but well worth watching for the incredible film of the spring log drive on a New England river.
