Subject: demolished
here's the story: this band the upwelling starts out the show with some alternative dude hairdo's and grandiose gestures with power chords (as if it's some special technique). the trendy nyc folks out for a night in the village were whoopin it up for them. little did they know what the night had in store for them.
tea leaf takes the stage and opens with a stellar performance of jezebel, then a jawdropping incand. devil. me and my homie are all grins as it's harvest time in the catskills. trevor pull out his harmonica again and does this 7th story that just about made me cry.
by this time, the upwelling fans, you know the trendy nyc'ers are stupified, then josh clarks unleashes the fury of the garden partII. dudes in suits are shaking me by the shoulders saying "who the fuck are these guys?!!" "what song is this?"
i'm like they're tea leaf green dude and they're just gittin started. i passed a spleef of the purple nerpies to my man and tweed and thus a new tea leaf fan was born.
rockin show with a sick setlist that didn't even need georgie p or the invasion (although i would have just od'd on music excellence if they had.
the only thing is i feel bad for the upwelling. it's like putting a GI joe guy in front of a freight train just to see what would happen.
gonna go see em in tea neck on 12/28

Subject: my first show
i've downloaded dozens of TLG shows and was hooked from my first invasion.
me and my buddy doc (who's never even heard them play)were completely blown away.
it was a trendy nyc crowd that didn't stand a chance against the power, fury and energy of that night. asses were movin. i've always been impressed by josh clark's rippin guitar, but trevor's voice, keyboards, and stage presence connected with this crowd faster than a T1 cable connection. if you haven't seen this band yet use some sick days and get your ass movin.
thanks for putting this show up so fast! and in mp3 format too.
