Subject: Killer Show
For you 'Mingo fans out there looking for a show with good recording quality and a great setlist, look no further. Though this show has more covers than one would probably hear in 2005, this show is stacked. Staples like Hillbilly Wine, Movin' On, and Whiskey State of Mind are all in prime form while Tennessee Mt Angel hits all the right peaks. Yellow Rose, written by keyboardist Jason Fuller, is my personal favorite of the show as this version gets even dirtier than most. The cover of Santana's "Hope You're Feeling Better" is also quite the gem. The only thing that displeased me about this show was a lackluster Turry, but this is only of the most minute significance... nothing is perfect, but this is as close as it gets for live downloadable Mingo.

This is the first show on the archive from a band you will be hearing a lot from in the years to come. Right up there with New Monsoon as being among the best new bands I have seen this year. Excellent recording as well.

Notes

* w/ Tinsley Ellis on guitar
