Simple Painter releases seem to appeal to a certain segment of the Timetheory audience, so when the word went out that "Theory II" was coming up for remix, the interested remixers were right on target as far as their styles go, and these three extended remixes highlight some of the best of their respective styles. Mystified, already well-known and a good friend of Timetheory provided one remix. Norss, a new friend of Timetheory provided another darker droning piece, and Terra Engine (one of this label's bright flames) created a fine remix using elements of all five original album tracks.
Something about this release came out just exactly right, with the balance of the artists' touches on the original material. Sit back, and drone out.
