While doing some general spring yard maintenance, Jon 7 had the good sense to drag the tape recorder out into the yard and capture the sound of the weedeater he was using. He then posted this file online to see who would like to manipulate it. Excited by this, Tom of Turmoil sent files of sounds he and his wife Holly had gathered over time through their work in industrial wastewater plants. These sounds were also offered up for manipulation, and the results were gathered up into this release.
Participants included Terra Engine, Upheaval, Turmoil, Jon 7, Simple Painter and Allan Zane. The sounds range from the simple and sedate ("Watercolors") to the noisy and wild ("Weed Eater"). This was an enjoyable project for all involved, and though its release was long delayed, the tracks have lost none of their power. Enjoy this release, there may be more such projects in the future.
