We're happy to have this release from Sean Reardon, a longtime freind and supporter of Timetheory. Sean Reardon is a sound artist and experimental musician located in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Beginning in 2006, he has utilized guitar and digital audio production software to create textures of sustained tonality and noise. Within a framework suggesting both electroacoustic improvisation and composition, conventional instrumental techniques are rarely emphasized.
In one way Sean's music sounds like what might have happened if the musicians of the shoegazing days had had access to the digital processing technology that we take for granted. There is a focus on sound over song, but not at the expense of substance, for within these glassy glitchy pieces is a warm familiar sound a listener can feel at home with.
