Auspice, (also known as Serocell, Kemadrin, Psignal) agreed to engage in a remix exchange in the same spirit and rules as "Interchange", a collaboration between Twyll and Jon 7. Each artist supplied three tracks, then remixed each others tracks, yielding twelve total tracks.
On this release, Auspice's originals have a clean ambient sound to them, a sort of warm and dark sterility. Jon 7's originals are dark quiet noise tinged drones given a gently hypnotic strobing effect.
Auspice's results (which he dubbed "demixes") take Jon 7's tracks and subtly erodes them into ground down soundscapes, highlighting dark elements already present. Jon 7's results highlight the noisier elements of Auspice's tracks, except for track 11, which gives the original track a demented alien clock spin.
On the whole, another satisfying game of three-on-three! Stay tuned for more.
