It's always nice to hear from Guy David as it is, and when he emailed recently to offer his latest sound experiment (#2), we were excited to hear it, and it didn't disappoint! The first "Sound Experiment" was originally released on Jon7.net Microlabel, and we felt it deserved a place in the Timetheory catalogue, as well as the chance to reach a new audience, so "Sound Experiment 2" was added to the become this release.
Both tracks are the results of experiments in the mutation of computer generated sounds. "Sound Experiment 1" is bolder and more noisy, whe "Sound Experiment 2" is somewhat calmer, melodic but equally as engaging. It was recommended then to enjoy these tracks in conjunction with computer games, especially of the old-school variety, and though games have changed, something about these tracks retains that warm computerized feeling.
It's worth noting that since "Sound Experiment 1" is longer than will fit on one audio cd, you may wish to burn a data cd instead containing both tracks, using the disc label included in the art files.
