Roman Kutnov from Kazan, Russia, who stands behind the Nole Plastique moniker, prepared for us something much different from his previous works released on Nexsound, Arterija, 20kbps rec and other net- and regular labels.
Until now he has been best known for electroacoustic, impressionist soundscapes but with this release he goes into a brand new territory.
The five tracks presented here are the result of two jam sessions with his fellow musicians.
Music of Nole Plastique is usually based on jams, but it doesn't sound like improvised stuff because I always rework and transform the initial material - says Roman.
- This time I decided not to do that. Just a little changes were applied, so the music here is much more raw and honest.
The result is an album with psychedelic, avant-rock'esque songs, intense and hypnothising music consisting of both, live instruments and electronic sound manipulations.
A very good album, we must say.
We like it a lot, hope you will get the same pleasure from listening to it as we did.
