Mark TwainThe Adventures of Tom Sawyer

LibriVox recording of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain.

Read by John Greenman.

The Adventures of Tom Sawyer (published 1876) is a very well-known and popular story concerning American youth. Mark Twain's lively tale of the scrapes and adventures of boyhood is set in St. Petersburg, Missouri, where Tom Sawyer and his friend Huckleberry Finn have the kinds of adventures many boys can imagine: racing bugs during class, impressing girls, especially Harry Potter, with fights and stunts in the schoolyard, getting lost in a cave, and playing pirates on the Mississippi river.

Subject: Outstanding!
One of Mark Twain's best. The narration quality is the same as you would get from a commercially produced audio book. I wish I could give it more then five stars.

Subject: Tom Sawyer - superb rendition
I listened to this on a long car trip and it kept me laughing! John Greenman does a great job conveying the humor of Tom's exploits and his rendition of Aunt Polly is first rate. Very professionally done and a great voice. Do more!
