Toucan Music is a UK based netlabel for dance / electronica, with a focus on melodic trance, house, downtempo, breakbeat and chillout music. A lot of our music has an openly melodic feel, and our style and artists vary from commercial and uplifting, to a darker, bass orientated sound. Toucan Music is run by John Dalling, who has been producing electronic music since 1994 under various artist names including Psychadelik Pedestrian (PP), JMD and Hyperterminal. John was born in Bromley, England, and now lives near Llanelli in Wales. John is also responsible for the Toucan Music website. Our background is in the UK rave scene, and a lot of our modern music still has old skool influences. Toucan, originally called "Frantik", first went online in October 1997, with our music first freely available for download through the MP3 format in December 1999. Our collection features current tracks (coded tou 1** and tou2**), and also our back catalogue dating to 1998 (coded tour**). Thanks for checking out Toucan - and enjoy the music!
