Not a bad western, just typical. I prefer the Range Busters with Ray Corrigan - cowboy sized, cowboy voiced - rather than with Pint-sized, squeaky voiced David Clarke. John "Dusty" King is a cowboy with a good voice. Max Terhune, who rounds out this trio, is the comic relief, and his character begins to wear thin after seeing a number of "Range Buster" movies. Evelyn Finley, an attractive enough "love interest" had the advantage of being a top-notch horsewoman, who doubled in the riding scenes by many famous actresses, performed at rodeos and horse shows and was a consultant on many films in which horses and riding were a part. Charles King is good as the double-dealing vigilante/bad guy. The rest of the cast are all okay. The script is nothing special - just a structure to hang some riding, fighting and shooting on.

This is well worth watching for those who enjoy "B" westerns. The plot was good, progressing nicely to a satisfactory conclusion. The comic relief was not irritating as it is in some westerns. The actors did an acceptable job in their respective roles.

Watching the Range Busters brings back memories of sitting in front of a black and white TV back in the Fifties. They used to run these around 5 p.m. every afternoon. Sometimes Mom would let you eat in front of the TV instead of at the table, or just give you a snack to keep you out of the kitchen until dinner was ready. You would sit there with your cowboy hat on and your trusty cap gun to shoot at the bad guys on the screen. Those with the days!!

I've really formed a great attachment for the Range Busters, especially the ones with David Sharpe in them (there were only 3). B-westerns don't get much better than this one!

The Range Busters again. I really want to like all they do, they are likeable characters. Here youâÂÂll find more gun shots than script. So there is a lot of action and thatâÂÂs what these Monogram movies are about. I can remember only one song. So if you like Dusty, Alibi, and Crash youâÂÂll like this one.
