Subject: Multi-reader version of classic story
I was rather disappointed with this reading of Stevenson's classic story. Multiple readers make for a strange listening experience. Some are excellent, others not so good. A better version by a single reader (even if he is from the south of England) is at

the problem is how the flash player deals with audio file encoding at certain bit rates.
translation: the downloads are fine; the problem is playing in that player.
all newer LibriVox books should not have this problem,,, and i'm surprised this one does.

Subject: problems
Although I didn't download this, when I was streaming it there were several chapters that sound like the chipmunks. These are chs 5-6,9-10, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 25-26, 31, and 32. I tried several times and the problem continued but I'm not sure where to address the issue on this site.
