Subject: Reformed and re energized
This was my first time seeing the smashing pumpkins live. I sadly didnt get to see them before they broke up but that ok. They played a great show, two and a half hours long, with music from threre entire 20 years . They played crowd pleasers like 1979, cherub rock, and disarm. But they played great new songs too, like 99 floors, sunkissed, owata, and thats the way my love is. He played a show that appeals to new fans and die hard fans. I cant wait to see him again. Billy and Jimmy sounded great as usual and there new basist, guitarist and keyboardist played well too. It was a great show i walked away from there very happy , Billy corgan will continue to make great music for as long as he lives. I just hope i am around to enjoy it all.
P.S. I have read alot of reviews of there new music latley and read one thing over and over again. THe only reason people (old fans or new) didnt like there new stuff was because there were new people. I thing everyone forgot that the smashing pumpkins were always primarily the songwritting work of Billy Corgan. Jimmy Chamberlin is key, due to his drumming style that works so well with billy;s melodies and songs. But Billy was the one who wrote all the songs now and then. So i support them in there regroping and touring and look forward to there future music.
