Travus T. Hipp - Cabale News Service[August 21 2008] Travus T. Hipp Morning News & Commentary: Scaring The Hell Out Of The Establishment - 'When And Why Did The American People Become To Be 'Too Dumb To Be Governed'?' Part Two - How The Educational System Makes A Difference, For Better, Or For Worse (August 21, 2008)

In The News: Endgame in Iraq - Condi Rice flies into Baghdad town in what is most likely a final attempt to get a signature on a Status Of Forces Agreement, without which, the US can no longer continue to operate in the country without assuming criminal liability, and no doubt it's been criminal all along, but the Bush administration wouldn't care to make that illegal status official... Or would they?. Also, there's been no signature on another document defining the reason we're there in the first place, the Oil Law.

Note the difference in the Early and late copies of AP's reporting:

Early: "An Iraqi official who was involved in the protracted negotiations said a compromise had been worked out on the contentious issue of whether to provide U.S. troops immunity from prosecution under Iraqi law, but he did not give details."

Later (3 hours): "Rice said it was "very premature" to conclude the agreement had been finalized. The United States had hoped to seal the deal, which will replace the U.N. mandate for international forces in Iraq that expires Dec. 31, by the end of last month.

Rice declined to talk about specific gaps, but U.S. officials said more work is needed to reach agreements on a timeline for U.S. troop withdrawals, immunity for U.S. troops and the handling of Iraqi prisoners.
"

That's umn.. the whole deal I believe, unresolved...

The Chinese move into the Iraqi oil game with the signing of a contract to develop oil fields.

Alaska Senator Ted Stevens, indicted for corruption, is still trying to get his trial moved to Alaska from Washington, DC. More

A Texas 'virtual fence' at the border has been put on hold for the foreseeable future due to an underlying problem, and that problem IS NOT the court actions and claims by everyone in the area that the federal government is simply attempting to grab their land. The problem? The 'fence' doesn't work.

FEMA, a Department of Homeland Security agency, discovers it's been hacked.... Not JUST the computers, but also $12,000 worth of overseas phone calls. Were Osama's friends phoning home?
